Brett Bloom ist Künstler, Autor, Organisator und Verleger aus Chicago (Temporary Services, Half Letter Press). Er arbeitet zu post-fossilen Einstellungen und der Frage, was nach dem Klimazusammenbruch kommt. Im Rahmen der Nachbarschaftsakademie haben Bloom, Åsa Sonjasdotter und Marco Clausen mit urbanen Gartenaktivisten, Hofkollektiven und konventionellen Landwirten über die Zukunft der Nahrungsmittelversorgung gesprochen und Themen wie Bioregionalismus, Nahrungsmittelsouveränität, Klimawandel in der Region, Land Grabbing, Arbeit mit Pfernden und Narrative jenseits des Öls diskutiert. Eine Vorabversion der auf der Grundlage dieser Interviews erstellten Publikation kann hier heruntergeladen werden. Die Veröffentlichung einer endgültigen deutsch-englische Version ist für den Herbst geplant ebenso wie eine Fortsetzung der Gespräche zwischen Akteuren in der Stadt und auf dem Land.

We present our research around the question of the future of food in the region. It was undertaken by Åsa Sonjasdotter and Marco Clausen of the Neighborhood Academy, and invited artist in residence Brett Bloom. They have been interviewing small and large scale farmers, and gardening activists in the city, about the following topics: future of food in the region, food sovereignty, land grabbing, working with horses and fossil fuel free narratives. The first results of these conversations were published and provided at the event on Friday 7th of August 7 pm. A conversation between city dwellers and rural farmers is planned.

This publication will be launched in both German and English in October.
