Im Zuge der wirtschaftlichen Monetarisierungslogik und der damit zunehmenden Verdichtung der Städte sind zahlreiche Urbane Gemeinschaftsgärten akut bedroht, viele sind bereits verschwunden. Diese Entwicklung ist ein Aspekt der Frage nach Gerechtigkeit in unserer Gesellschaft und danach, wem ein gutes Leben zusteht. Wer hat Recht auf Stadtgrün? Wem gehört die Stadt?

Wir laden euch ein, Teil einer weiter wachsenden Bewegung zu werden. Egal ob ihr in einem Garten aktiv seid, Urbane Gärten für euch wertvoller Teil eures Lebensumfeldes sind oder euch eine Gelegenheit, Stadtentwicklung von unten mitzugestalten, gerade recht kommt. Alle sind willkommen. Wir brauchen euch! Eure Ideen, eure Erfahrungen, eure Fähigkeiten.

Due to monetarisation and an increasing densification of cities many community gardens are at existential risk and many are already vanished. This development is linked to the question how and what people have (what kind of) access to (what kind of) usages of cities and urban infrastructure. And in the end it is linked to the question: who owns the city?

URBAN GARDENS NEED A MOVEMENT.
We invite you to be part of the movement. Whether you are active in a garden, you value the gardens in your neighbourhood and your city or you are in search of the opportunity to actively be a part of urban development, you are welcome. We need you! Your ideas, your experiences and your skills.
