„In Burkina Faso, a country that struggles with unemployment and emigration, two neighbourhoods in the centre of Burkina’s second capital have been providing for their city for over a century with urban farming. Today, in the midst of rising insecurity, their gardens are threatened.“

Wir freuen uns über eine Einführung zum Film von Wittika Chaplet (Video) und über einen Beitrag von Yssoufou Niambe vom Aktivistenkollektiv DA SAGO (Video), der im Moment für den Erhalt der Gärten in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, kämpft.

Danach laden wir herzlich zu Gespräch und Austausch ein.

 

Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des Dauergartenfestival „142 Tage für 99 Jahre.“ im Prinzessinnengarten Kreuzberg. Über die gesamte Gartensaison tragen unterschiedliche Gruppen und Initiativen mit Workshops, Kinoprogrammen, Spaziergängen, Kompostaktionen, Installationen etc. zum dauerhaften Erhalt des Prinzessinnengartens am Moritzplatz bei.

The film will be accompanied by an video-introduction by Wittika Chaplet and further information from the activist Yssoufou Niamba from the collective Da Sago about the situation in Bobo Dioulasso.

After the film we kindly invite you to a talk and discussion.

In support of the initiative for the permanent preservation of the Prinzessinnengarten Kreuzberg as a public asset.
